Love the look of it, especially at the top... just those reds where blacks should be, and how the fog at times gives the backdrop a metallic sheen... for some reason, it reminds me of an album cover... if you crop it to a square at the top, it would be a really awesome album cover...

I see... I think I like the top half better, because the darkest value in the BG is that brick red... when we get to the bottom, there's those two darker spots... which I'm not as fond of. Because there are similar darks on the tinfoil tree, and by eliminating the ones outside of the tree (covers with fingers) they have more presence. Perhaps... they too well ground what is otherwise a mystical and unreal object/setting, thereby removing us from it slightly...

...If that's of any value XD awesome piece.

Good points! The backdrop is actually a sheet of metal, so it's sheeny.

I tried fixing the reds at the bottom in photoshop but i couldn't get a result that I was happy with, so I just left it.

Thanks for the crit. It's kind of hard to come by on DA, I've noticed.
